Letter to Our Women
This letter is to each of the many women who have supported and worked with Headed Somewear.
Each and every one of you is close to my heart and I wouldn’t be here without you. It is no secret that the women in my life have been my rocks since I started this business. From my mother, aunts, sisters, best friends, models, photographers, vendors, designers, bloggers, influencers, collaborative teams, and so on- I appreciate each and every one of you.
That is why, this time for our collection, I wanted to honor the power of sisterhood because it can change your life if you let it. It really did change mine. I hope when you see each of our new designs, you find a sliver of your own vision or dream. I hope you find your goals and passions. I hope you read these stories and say, “hey, I can relate to her!” I hope you feel inspired, motivated, and proud to be in your own skin.
To the 40 women I interviewed over the past few weeks – thank you so much for sharing your story with me, for allowing me a glimpse into your life & the powerful females who made you who are. Thank you for inspiring me (sometimes without even realizing it), for laughing, joking, sharing, and conversing with me. For those of you who I interviewed on the phone, it was a pleasure finally getting to know some of you even deeper than DM’s and comments. For the women who participated via email because schedules wouldn’t allow for anything more, your contribution is just as significant. For the women who could not participate but wanted to, I hope to continue to be inspirations to one another. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
At the start of this interview project, I was unsure how many people would participate and if I even felt there was a point to it. Interviewing, writing posts up, editing, and so on is a big responsibility. I was sharing their story and a glimpse of all these incredible women’s lives. I got to hear how self-sufficient, persistent, and heroic women in our communities are. From our mothers, sisters, friends, and even the women I interviewed themselves- each and every one of us has some insight to share and it is my pleasure to have been able to share it.
And so, I would like to thank you, the reader, for reading. I hope you liked this project as much as I loved sharing it. If a specific story hit home to you, please reach out to the featured woman and let her know. Network, make friends, and support, support, support! Remember, if we will compete and hold back on helping our sisters up, how are we helping women everywhere? It takes a second to reach out or share someone’s story but it does wonders for our progress because we are building bonds. We are each other’s support system, one that will only grow faster and more sturdier than before.
